Venezuela to pay tribute to Benny More and Havana

HAVANA, Dec 11 (ACN) This weekend, Venezuela will pay tribute to legendary Cuban musician Benny More and the 500th anniversary of the founding of Havana, where the National Philharmonic Orchestra of that country, among others, will perform.

According to sources from the Venezuelan Ministry of Culture, the renowned Cuban orchestra director and musical producer, Joaquin Betancourt, is in Caracas to conduct this prestigious musical group, as part of the activities scheduled to remember Benny and the capital of the Caribbean island next Saturday 14, in the open rooms of the Teresa Carreño Theater, with a second concert on Sunday 15, on the same stage.
This tribute is jointly hosted by the Ministry of Culture, through the National Music Company, with the participation of the Caracas Martial Band, the Simon Bolivar Latino-Caribbean Orchestra and the National System of Youth and Children's Orchestras and Choirs of Venezuela.
