HAVANA, Cuba, Aug 5 (ACN) The Volunteer Labor Brigade of Latin America and the Caribbean, which comprises representatives from 11 countries, began a tour of the province of Las Tunas today, with the aim of exchanging with Cubans at cultural, health and economic institutions .
The visit was initiated by the route of the monumental sculptures of famous Cuban artists that adorn this city, such as Rita Longa, José Antonio Díaz Peláez, Sergio Martínez and Manuel Chiong, among others.
In the Plaza Martiana, they laid a wreath of flowers to the Cuban National Hero and later they exchanged with members of the Tuyo Theater troupe, widely recognized in the country for their performance in the clown art.
Seventy-two people from Panama, Mexico, El Salvador, Peru, Guatemala, Honduras, Dominican Republic, Colombia, Martinique, Brazil and Ecuador, are part of this brigade.
In Las Tunas they will hold meetings with cederistas, exchange with patients and workers of the Pediatric hospital, and work in the cane planting in the Majibacoa central.
This Sunday they will go to Santiago de Cuba, to pay tribute to the historical leader of the Revolution, Fidel Castro, in the Santa Ifigenia cemetery.
In that eastern city they will also visit the Moncada barracks, and then return to Las Tunas, from where they will leave for Havana.
