Havana, Cuba, Mar 30 (acn) Young campesinos from the province of Havana coincided on Thursday in the need to encourage the relationship of children and teenagers to vocational orientation and professional formation towards agricultural work.

Lazaro Daniel de la Cruz, from the Jose Antonio Echeverria Credit and Services Cooperative in Arroyo Naranjo, stressed the need of a closer tie between the Young Communist League (UJC) and the campesino youth with the objective of having a better representation in the organization.

He added that in order to achieve better yields a qualified work force is decisive above all in the preparation of veterinarians and agronomy engineers.

Atali Martin, from the Desembarco del Granma Credit and Services Cooperative in the municipality of Boyeros believes that the students require assessment and orientation to study a career related to agriculture and that is why it is important for the cooperatives to have competent personnel.

Another issue was related with the fight against crime, corruption and illegalities in the areas and although the amount has been reduced, the actions are still not enough for its eradication.

They also expressed not being satisfied with the delay of the delivery of supplies in addition to the difficulties with the contracts.
