Different entities participate in the work that includes the regulated exploitation of the water reserves in the territory aimed at avoiding over exploitation of the precious resource, he explained.
Ariel Hernandez, observer of the La Piedra metrological station in the mountains of Villa Clara province told ACN that during the rainy seasons in the months of April and May, the average accumulations is only 20 millimeters.
The specialist added that since September of 2014 up until today no significant rain has been reported inflicting an unprecedented drought in the agricultural sector affecting the work in the countryside.
