HAVANA, Cuba, Nov 15 (ACN) The 1st International Workshop on Quality and Sustainable Vocational Training, organized by the Cuban Ministry of Education (MINED), will take place Nov. 26-28 at the Meliá Habana Beach Hotel in Havana.
The general objective of the event is to socialize experiences on pedagogical and didactic strategies that contribute to the development of quality, inclusive and gender-focused vocational training, which will enable young people to access decent employment and contribute to the sustainable development of nations.
Alexander Manso Diaz, M.Sc. in Pedagogy and National Director of Technical and Professional Education of MINED, informed in a press conference that the workshop will be offered both in person and virtually, with nine thematic lines, based on a diagnosis of the country, Latin America and the Caribbean.
Among them, he mentioned, are vocational training for the socio-economic transformation of countries, digital transformation in training processes for employment, inclusion and gender equality in vocational training, the role of labor entities in vocational training (dual training) of adolescents and young people, as well as others of great importance to the participants.
Manso Diaz also emphasized that under the slogan "train, qualify and employ", the event will refer to the pedagogical thinking of the historic leader of the Revolution Fidel Castro Ruz, on the occasion of his eighth anniversary of his death.
The 1st International Workshop on Quality and Sustainable Vocational Training has 235 papers, more than 500 delegates, 10 sponsors and the participation of more than 10 countries, including Mexico, Colombia, Nicaragua, Venezuela, we will have representation either in person or virtually from Switzerland, Germany and Spain, the executive concluded.
