HAVANA, Cuba, Mar 25 (ACN) From today until March 28, the Havana Convention Center will host the 12thI international congress on science didactics and the 17th International Workshop on Physics teaching, to exchange and socialize experiences with teachers and researchers from Cuba and the world.
According to Alexis Mendez Pupo, director of Science and Technique of the Ministry of Education, the event will also allow to promote the study of basic sciences, showing the experiences and achievements reached in the different educational levels of the country, seeking to generalize the best practices and motivate towards new experiences in the future.
In this regard, Orestes Valdes Valdes, methodologist and specialist in Environmental Education of the Directorate of Science and Technology of the Ministry of Education, said that something that distinguishes this 12th edition from previous ones, is the participation of students from different educational levels and from all over the country, mainly from remote areas, which on other occasions had not been able to attend.
The event, organized by the Ministry of Education will be held in a hybrid modality, both face-to-face and virtual, where participants can choose the route of their preference or access through both, said Gema Diaz Diaz, general director of Training and Scientific Activity of the Ministry of Education.
The Cuban delegation, she said, has 150 teachers, of whom 123 are face-to-face delegates and 27 are virtual ones, and in the international field there are 26 works, 14 in the face-to-face modality and 12 in the virtual one.
Venezuela, Ecuador, Spain, Colombia, Guatemala, Mexico, Brazil and Argentina are some of the countries that will participate in lectures, conferences, panels, workshops, presentations, as well as the five symposiums that are part of the Congress, Diaz Diaz concluded.
