Havana, Sept 29 (ACN) Havana authorities announced on Wednesday the further ease of COVID-19 restrictions following the lowering trend of coronavirus cases over the past weeks and the advancement of mass immunization with locally developed vaccines.
Havana’s governor Reinaldo Garcia said that as of September 29 green light has given to gyms, taking physical exercises in public areas, local beaches and pools, with the latter ones limited to 50 percent capacity.
In tune with the opening, Communist Party leader in Havana, Luis Antonio Torres said that the current ease and others that may come soon suggest a responsible action by all citizens according to the habits already acquired under the pandemic.
The Communist leader called on control agencies and the national police to increase inspection of areas such as Havana’s seafront drive boulevard, beaches and gyms to confirm that sanitary protocols are met and honored.
