President of Cuban Supreme Court starts visit to Austria

HAVANA, Cuba, Feb 21 (ACN) Ruben Remigio Ferro, president of the Popular Supreme Court of the Republic of Cuba, began a working visit to Austria on Thursday, proceeding from the Canary Islands where he held meetings with government and judicial authorities.

This visit was made at the invitation of Dr. Elizabeth Lovrek, President of the Supreme Court of that European nation.
Cuba and Austria established diplomatic relations almost 73 years ago, based on the fruitful economic, educational and cultural exchange between the two peoples.
Austria is a German-speaking country in Central Europe, with a population of some 8.820.000 inhabitants in an 83.000 square kilometer area.
