HAVANA, Cuba, Feb 20 (ACN) Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla, Cuban foreign minister, began today an official visit to Laos, which closes his tour of Asian countries.
Cuban diplomat, who heads the Caribbean delegation, laid a wreath to the founder of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party (LPRP) at the Kaysone Phomvihane Museum.
Then, the representation of the Caribbean nation exchanged with Thongloun Sisoulith, secretary general of the LPRP and president of Laos, whom the foreign minister described as a friend of Cuba.
Referring to the meeting, Rodriguez Parrilla highlighted the high priority given by his country to the development of ties with Laos.
He also stressed that both nations are united by historic ties of solidarity and collaboration in socialist construction.
Cuban delegation, also integrated by the head of the Minister's Secretariat, Nelson Tamayo Caro; and the director of Asia and Oceania of the foreign ministry, Ariel Lorenzo Rodriguez, began the tour in Malaysia last February 12, and later visited Singapore and Vietnam.
