HAVANA, Cuba, Jun 2 (ACN) Rogelio Sierra Diaz, rector of the Higher Institute of International Relations of Cuba (ISRI), concluded a visit to Belarus to strengthen ties between academic institutions of both nations, the Cuban Foreign Ministry reported.
As part of a two-day work program, Sierra visited the Belarusian State University, where both parties discussed possibilities to develop stronger relations and mutually beneficial programs in fields such as teaching, scientific research, and editorial activities in areas related to international relations and social sciences.
The Cuban official also met with the directors of the National Library of Minsk, the Institute for Strategic Research, the Foreign Relations Commission of the Parliament, the International University of the Federation of Trade Unions, the Academy of Management attached to the Presidency of the Republic, and the First Deputy Minister of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
