Havana, March 16 (ACN) Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez rejected new US coercive and unilateral measures against Nicaragua.
On his X account, Minister Rodriguez wrote that we are witnessing a new interfering attempt by Washington aimed at hitting Nicaragua’s crucial economic areas, inflict damage on the Nicaraguan people and government.
The US Department of State Office for Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) announced on Wednesday new sanctions on gold mining entities based in Nicaragua, admitting that the mineral resource is the major export raw material of the Central American country.
The US move particularly targets the revenues stemming from such exports.
