HAVANA, Cuba, May 8 (ACN) Cuban president Miguel Díaz-Canel held a meeting today with Dmitry Medvedev, President of the United Russia Party and Vice President of the Russian Security Council, as part of the activities during his working visit to the Russian Federation.
During the dialogue, the parties reviewed the state of relations between the two political organizations and expressed their satisfaction with the results and progress achieved, reported the Presidency on the X social network.
They also examined the potential for increasing bilateral ties.
The Cuban President was accompanied by Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba.
On Wednesday, the Cuban head of state paid tribute to the historic leader of the Revolution Fidel Castro at the monument bearing his name in Fidel Castro Square in Moscow's Sokol district.
Among the activities scheduled for today, Díaz-Canel will participate for the first time in person in the Supreme Council of the Eurasian Economic Union, a body in which he previously participated virtually last December, and of which Cuba is an Observer State.
