Cuban Women Play Important Role in their Country’s Public Policies

Camaguey, Cuba, Dec 20 (ACN) The Cuban women’s role in the implementation of the programs adopted by the country regarding public policies was well ratified at the 14th National Gathering of Economist and Accountant Women, underway in this eastern Cuban city.

The meeting focused on issues such as community development, accountability and cost, intellectual capital, tourism, the environment, teaching, health and many others.

The president of the National Economists and Accountants Association in Camaguey, Ines Josefina Torres told ACN about the commitment of Cuban women over the past 63 years of revolution to Cuban economy both in the state and private sectors with initiatives aimed at areas like the National Empowerment Program for Women, which fights discrimination.

Some 59 research studies presented at the event focus on issues linked to community development in the context of ongoing transformations in the country.

The gathering, which is being attended by women from most Cuban province, counted on outstanding presentations related to Cuban economic sectors, which derived in prizes and distinctions.

The 15th National Encounter of Economist and Accountant Women will be held March 2022 in Camaguey city to promote the best scientific and technical experiences in the economic, accounting and financial fields.
