
Present authorities acknowledged that the fair is generating great interest among Russian businesspeople and, consequently, attracting entities interested in doing business with the archipelago and other countries in the region.
They highlighted the desire to collaborate in trade, promotion, logistics, and financial relations, and in general, reaffirmed their conviction that both nations will continue working together to realize projects of common interest.
Meanwhile, Cuba expressed its desire to work with Russia on mutually beneficial projects that can generate shared profits.
It also emphasized the importance of Russia seeing the Caribbean nation as a strategic location to expand its presence in the region.
Following the traditional ribbon-cutting ceremony, the Cuban President toured the various stands at the fairgrounds, speaking with the exhibitors.
The event, which runs until November 29 at the Expocuba fairgrounds in Havana, was also attended by Manuel Marrero Cruz, Prime Minister of the Republic; Oscar Perez-Oliva Fraga, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment; and other government officials and representatives.
With an exhibition area exceeding 18,740 square meters, FIHAV 2025 is hosting 715 companies representing 52 countries, including Mexico, Panama, Zimbabwe, the Czech Republic, Venezuela, Iran, Angola, and South Africa.
