HAVANA, Cuba, Jul 15 (ACN) Experts from Cuba and Mexico held a technical exchange on risk management, focusing on Civil Defense, with the goal of strengthening organizational and emergency response practices.
According to the official website of the Cuban Foreign Ministry, Marcos Rodriguez Costa, Cuban ambassador to the Mexico, and a delegation composed of specialists from the National Civil Defense Staff (EMNDC by its Spanish acronym), the National Institute of Hydraulic Resources (INRH), and the Institute of Meteorology (INSMET) participated in the meeting, where they held discussions with counterparts from Mexico's National Coordination of Civil Protection.
The note explains that during the meeting, risk identification, monitoring, early warning, and natural disaster response processes were addressed, in an environment conducive to the exchange of institutional experiences and the improvement of cooperation mechanisms in risk management.
Both parties, the source specifies, reaffirmed their willingness to move toward more comprehensive and effective strategies, in line with the climatic and natural challenges facing both nations.
