HAVANA, Cuba, Jul 15 (ACN) The 30th Latin American and Caribbean Brigade of Volunteer Work and Solidarity with Cuba, with 132 members from 11 nations, will participate in the July 26th celebrations as part of its visit to the country from July 20th to August 3rd.
The contingent's program pays special attention to its 30th anniversary, along with volunteer work sessions, exchanges with the population, and tours in Havana, Artemisa, Villa Clara, Cienfuegos, and Ciego de Avila, the venue for the main event for National Rebellion Day.
The brigade members, who come from Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Haiti, Honduras, Martinique, Peru, the Dominican Republic, Venezuela, Colombia, and Mexico, will be based at the Julio Antonio Mella International Camp in Caimito, Artemisa province.
Yara Valera Ramirez, official of the Cuban Friendship Institute, emphasized that its members will share spaces with other solidarity projects that will also celebrate alongside Cubans on July 26, such as the European Jose Marti Brigade and the US Brigade Venceremos.
She emphasized the significance of the visits by friends from numerous countries, demonstrating the people's support for Cuba as the economic, commercial, and financial blockade imposed by the United States and the imperialist harassment of the indomitable island intensifies.
The Latin American and Caribbean Brigade's agenda includes visits to the Fidel Castro Center and the 10 de Octubre Clinical and Surgical Hospital, where they will deliver donations as a result of the systematic collaboration of the Continental Network of Solidarity with Cuba with that healthcare unit.
In the provinces, activists will visit museums and sites of economic, historical, and social interest, and at the Commander Ernesto Che Guevara Memorial Sculptural Complex in Santa Clara, they will pay tribute to the Heroic Guerrilla and his comrades.
