HAVANA, Cuba, Jul 8 (ACN) The 17th BRICS Summit, held on July 6 and 7 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, served as a favorable stage for Miguel Diaz-Canel, President of the Republic of Cuba, to hold exchanges with heads of delegations from member countries, partners, and guests.
On X, Cuban Presidency highlighted Diaz-Canel's greetings to the President of the Plurinational State of Bolivia, Luis Arce, as well as to the Foreign Minister of the United Mexican States, Juan Ramon de La Fuente.
These exchanges have been considered a clear position of Cuba's commitment to strengthening cooperation and solidarity ties among nations of the Global South, in an international context marked by common challenges and the search for a more just and inclusive order.
Regarding the meeting in Brazil with his Cuban counterpart, the Bolivian president expressed his unconditional support for the Cuban people in the face of the tightening of the economic, commercial, and financial blockade imposed by the United States government.
