HAVANA, Cuba, Feb 18 (ACN) A meeting with Vietnamese PM Pham Minh Chinh kicked off today the work program of Cuban foreign minister Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla in the Indochinese nation, the third stop of his official visit to Asian countries.
Cuban diplomat described the exchange as fruitful and noted that both sides highlighted the progress achieved in economic-commercial ties, investment and cooperation in many fields.
On X, Rodriguez Parrilla said that these areas include rice production and supply, energy, agriculture and biotechnology.
After visiting Malaysia and Singapore, the head of Cuban diplomacy arrived Tuesday in Vietnam, where he will stay for two days and then leave for Laos.
According to the schedule, tomorrow, Wednesday, the Cuban delegation will pay homage to Vietnamese independence hero, President Ho Chi Minh, at the mausoleum where his mortal remains lie in Hanoi.
Later, official talks will be held with Vietnamese foreign minister, Bui Thanh Son, and courtesy interviews with the president of the nation, Luong Cuong, and with the general secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV), To Lam, according to Prensa Latina.
Likewise, on that day, Rodriguez Parrilla will hold a meeting with members of the Cuban diplomatic mission.
Accompanying Cuban FM on this official visit to Asian countries are the head of the Minister's Secretariat, Nelson Tamayo Caro; and the Foreign Ministry's director for Asia and Oceania, Ariel Lorenzo Rodriguez.
