“Measures announced by the U.S. are limited”, Foreign Minister holds

HAVANA, Cuba, May 28 (ACN) In a post on X, Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, Cuba's Foreign Affairs Minister, said that the measures announced by the U.S. government are limited in scope, disregard the impact of both the blockade and the inclusion of Cuba on the list of State Sponsors of Terrorism, and seek to create divisions within Cuban society.

Likewise, he denounced that the U.S. government keeps funding disinformation campaigns to hold the Cuban government responsible for the severe damages they have caused to the people for 65 years.

On her end, Johana Tablada, deputy director general of the U.S. division of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, assured that Cuba will not hinder the measures announced by the Treasury Department's Office of Foreign Assets Control in favor of the island’s private sector, even though she described them as insufficient and beneficial only to part of the Cuban society.
