HAVANA, Cuba, Jul 5 (ACN) Ana Elsa Velazquez Cobiella, Cuban minister of Education (MINED), thanked today the Environment Agency (AMA by its Spanish acronym) for its specialized attention for several years to the teaching system of the agency.
We have always counted on their support for the management of our classes, said Velazquez Cobiella in a congratulatory letter, released at the First Seminar-Workshop on the incorporation of the State Plan to confront climate change to the curricular contents in teacher training.
In this way, we can update the specific contents of the curricula of each level of education, through the link with national and international projects, said the head of MINED in her message, sent to Dr. Maritza Garcia Garcia Garcia, president of the AMA, who was present at the meeting.
The State Plan to confront climate change, also known as Tarea Vida (Life Task), and its projections towards the 3rd process of Improvement of Education for Sustainable Development, caught the attention of those attending the meeting.
Besides, the comprehensive approach to disaster risk reduction and adaptation to climate change in the nation, which motivated discussion sessions and reflections on pedagogical experiences for their treatment in the classroom.
