HAVANA, Cuba, Dec 3 (ACN) Cuba will participate in the First Work Meeting of the Ibero-American Network of Cultural Diplomacy, to be held virtually due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Thursday, December 3.
The Caribbean island will be represented by Teresita Vicente Sotolongo, head of cultural and academic relations of the foreign ministry, and by Rosa Teresa Rodriguez, director of international relations of the ministry of culture.
The Ibero-American network of cultural diplomacy was created last July and Mexico assumed the coordination of the network, calling on the Spanish and Portuguese speaking region to redefine the world, not to restore it, and to build a common agenda to face, from culture, the challenges of Ibero-America in the 21st century.
On that occasion, the representatives of the 22 countries of the community of Ibero-American nations supported the creation of the Ibero-American network of cultural diplomacy and committed themselves to building a common agenda for the 21st century.
