HAVANA, Cuba, May 15 (acn) The Cuban triple jumper Pedro Pablo Pichardo won the gold medal at the first stop of the Athletics Diamond League, headquartered in Doha, Qatar, where he set a national record of 18.06 meters.
Pichardo surpassed for the first time in his young career the barrier of 18 meters in a very tight event with American Christian Taylor (18.04) as his escort on the awards podium.
