HAVANA, Cuba, Mar 31 (acn) The Cuban women's judo squad won the silver medal in the team event in New York, United States, when losing 2-3 to the hosts, in a series in which Yanet Bermoy could not fight due to an injury she had in the previous match against France.
Professor Ronaldo Veitia told ACN that in the final bout against the US, Dayaris Mestre (48 kilograms) beat Katelyn Bouyssou by Wazari, but the locals equaled through Angelica Delgado, who defeated Bermoy (52) by forfeit.
