VARADERO, Cuba, May 6 (ACN) The presentation of "Chefarándula. Roots that unite two cultures", was presented on Thursday as a literary proposal at the Starfish Hotel, as part of the program of the 40th International Tourism Fair FITCuba 2022, held in Varadero.
The volume, result of the joint work of Miguel Angel Jimenez Martinez, renowned international chef, and Susana Camino, writer, is included among the proposals marketed by the renowned company Artex.
Jimenez Martinez explained that in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, the idea of creating a television program under the name of "Sabe a Chef" rescued culinary culture and conditioned the possibility of putting on paper that first season of the program.
With "Chefarándula. Roots that unite two cultures" we reflect the work of those broadcasts when the COVID-19 forced to stay at home, it was then a unique opportunity to achieve through affordable recipes to the population, mix the Cuban cuisine with that of Spain, my native country, he added.
Jimenez Martinez pointed out that the aim of each of the dishes in the text is to adapt recipes to the current reality, which is a way of bringing joy to Cuban households through cooking, despite the difficult times.
For her part, Camino also thanked the work carried out by the publishing house Ediciones Cubanas in the creation of the book, as well as the warm welcome of the staff of the Starfish Hotel, which allowed the successful development of the exhibition in the context of FITCuba 2022 and as a prelude to the International Book Fair in Matanzas.
