Varadero, Matanzas, Jan 24 (ACN) A comprehensive energy management system designed by a self-employee linked to a local Scientific-Technological Park in Matanzas province will soon be installed in eight hotels located in this popular tourist center.
Hector Rodriguez, designer of the system called Sigure, said it uses a database to include all the organizational and technical information to offer a better management of resources such as water, electricity, liquified gas, transportation means, technological equipment and others.
The system is considered a step forward in the advancement of Varadero to turn into a digital city, which is related to the computerization of services and decision-taking processes based on real-time data.
Scientific Par business director Frank Santos told ACN that the new system will contribute to the analysis and control of energy resources in eight facilities of the ISLAZUL hotel chain and in its headquarters.
Santos added that they are also negotiating the installation of the system in facilities of the Gran Caribe hotel chain in Varadero, the main sun-and-beach tourist destination in Cuba.
