Havana, June 18 (ACN) Cuban government expects to see the setting up of the its first Micro, Medium and Small companies—MMSEs-- both in the state and non-state sectors by mid August or early September, said Cuban Economy Minister Alejandro Gil during a prime-time TV show on Friday.
In a recent session, the Cuban Council of Minister gave green light to the legal creation of the MMSEs as part of a strategy to bring all actors of Cuban economy together in a joint effort to boost the country’s economy.
The government’s priority are those sectors with a strong impact on the country’s major economic demands and the goal is to launch all productive forces, lift all kinds of hurdles on production, all under a legal framework, the minister said.
Minister Gil said that the design of the legal norms to set up the MMSEs is currently underway along the organization process.
