MATANZAS, Cuba, Aug 5 (acn) Works by 15 Mexican painters participating in the A Bridge of Love and History project, are presented as of Friday at the Pedro Esquerre Art Gallery in the city of Matanzas.
Evelio Perez, coordinator of the exhibition, explained that it brings together 30 pieces by artists from Merida, Tabasco, Veracruz, Cancun and Mexico City, with techniques and styles showing diversity of creation.
A Bridge of Love and History is a project that aims to build bridges of cultural exchange between Cuba and the Aztec nation and promote the confluence of artists in both countries, said Perez, a Cuban artist living in Mexico.
Matanzas is a beautiful, safe and very cultural city; a place with a gallery of ideal conditions to host the largest coordinated exhibition so far by A Bridge of Love and History, an initiative aimed at expanding and reaching other provinces, added Evelio.
The works come for the first time as a set, and make up an eclectic exhibition for the diversity of styles and themes represented, explained Beatriz Brown in an exclusive interview with ACN.
Cuba is a fraternal country, it is among nations maintaining friendship ties with Mexico, and the island is always an attraction for the cultural level of its people, argued Brown, director of the International Art Corridor and an active member of the Mexican Society of Fine Arts Authors and Artists.
Alicia Urzaiz, Angelica Jimenez, Cristina Canto, Jose Juan Luna, Manuel Torres and Horacio Cardenas, are included among the 15 authors of the pieces on display under the title of Mexican Nuances in Cuba, which will be exhibited at the Gallery until the end of August.
