Raul Receives Dignitaries Attending Signing of Colombian Government-FARC-EP Accord

HAVANA, Cuba, Jun 23 (acn) Army General Raul Castro Ruz, President of the Cuban councils of State and Ministers, received on Thursday leaders of several countries attending the signing ceremony of a bilateral and definitive agreement for a cease-fire and cessation of hostilities between the Colombian government and the guerrilla.

Raul also greeted the heads of delegations of the guarantor nations and personalities like Ban Ki-moon, Secretary General of the United Nations Organization.
The ceremony took place at the Protocol Hall of Cubanacan and the fact of signing the document is a momentous event for being a contribution to the aspiration of turning Latin America and the Caribbean into a zone of peace.
