HAVANA, Cuba, July 15 (ACN) The Cuban Ministry of Higher Education presented a report on the progress of the Sectoral Program for Science, Technology and Innovation, entitled "Educación Superior y Desarrollo Sostenible” (Higher Education and Sustainable Development) to the 7th 2025 midterm evaluation workshop.
The initiative brings together 55 projects designed to transform the country's education system through the application of science, technology and innovation in a program aimed at improving the quality of education, qualifying human capital, and creating sustainable solutions to deal with social, economic and environmental challenges.
Among the topics of this program, which engages more than 20 Cuban universities, research centers and state agencies, are artificial intelligence and educational robotics, digital transformation of teaching, environmental management, pedagogical innovation, and inclusion in higher education.
The Sectoral Program is aligned with several Sustainable Development Goals of the 2030 Agenda, such as quality education, innovation, climate action, and equity.
