CIEGO DE AVILA, Cuba, Feb 21 (ACN) Various entities have joined forces in the province of Ciego de Avila to assemble its fourth solar power plant, expected to provide 4 MW more to a provincial grid already equipped with another three plants of this kind.
Mario Toledo Carrasco, director of the local Renewable Energy Sources enterprise, remarked that the farm was donated by the People's Republic of China, as were other similar ones for the provinces of Holguín and Villa Clara.
All three existing sites produced 16,372.35 MW/H in 2023, which helped save 4,256.79 tons of fuel and prevented the emission of more than 13,000 tons of carbon dioxide, the executive said.
