MATANZAS, Cuba, Dec 27 (ACN) The elegance of minimalism distinguishes the new image of the lobby of the Meliá Varadero hotel, one of the tourist facilities in the province of Matanzas where SolyArte, a group created by the Cuban Stock of Cultural Assets (FCBC), has left its mark of modernity and attractiveness.
SolyArte director Elio Sánchez Osoria told ACN that the remodeling carried out for the resumption of tourism after the complex period imposed by COVID-19 offers beauty and comfort to those who come to this hotel, which recently celebrated 30 years of experience in the provision of its services.
“We incorporated minimalist concepts to modernize the style using very contemporary materials such as plasterboard, putty, acrylics, marble and LED (Lighting-Emitting Diode) technology," he said. “Now we are also restoring and giving a modern touch to a rustic rural-like tourist ranch in Pío Cuá, a popular resort very close to the Zapata Swamp National Park.”
SolyAarte is equally busy with a terrace for smokers at the Meliá Las Antillas Hotel in the Varadero tourist part and other works at the nearby Sol Palmeras Hotel. However, the Group’s most popular achievement is the boat-shaped restaurant in town, which will soon celebrate its first birthday.
Yamira Román Castellini, an FCBC specialist in image and development in the region, confirmed that SolyArte is an active group with more than five years’ experience in decoration, restoration, remodeling and interventions influenced by visual arts.
SolyArte has been working directly with the Meliá corporation for six years, as well as with the Palmares Extra-Hotel Enterprise, for the benefit of domestic and foreign tourism in the city of Matanzas.
