Matanzas, Cuba, Nov 3 (ACN) The Cuban Revolution has always supported the physically challenged persons, so in today’s troubled times we also back the revolution, said Julio Cesar Abreu, president of the Cuban Association of Physically Challenged Persons (ACLIFIM) in this western province.
An international campaign of violence is being unleashed against Cuba putting the country’s peace and order at risk, but there are so many patriots who do not forget their origin including the physically challenged.
Despite the adversities, all physically challenged persons are part of Cuban society and have open and free access special education according to their needs which is an achievement of the Revolution, Abreu noted.
On November 15, Cuba will reopen its borders to fully resume l tourist operations while that same day Cuban schools will also open doors; these two events will be successfully achieved thanks to our scientists, he stressed and went on to say that if any march takes place here it can only be a demonstration of support to the principles that distinguish Cuban identity, in which all ACLIFIM members in Matanzas would express their convictions.
We cannot deny the problems we are facing, but being Cuba one of the leading countries in the global COVID-19 vaccination, with locally developed and effective vaccines, is a strong moral blow against those who try to undervalue the these achievements.
According to Abreu, the provincial organization already counts on nearly 4 thousand members, including 134 boys and 96 girls. The group constantly encourages the joining by other physically challenged persons to join in so that they receive all the attention they require.
