Havana, Dec 5 (ACN) The president of the Cuban National Assembly of People’s Power Esteban Lazo congratulated Cuban lawmaker Rolando Gonzalez after having been elected chair of the Latin American and Caribbean Parliament Board of Directives.
The election of Gonzalez, who chairs the Cuban Parliament’s International Relations Commission, acknowledges the strengthening role of the island’s parliamentarian diplomacy in this region and its historical contribution to the Latin American and Caribbean Parliament—Parlatino.
According to the webpage of the Cuban Parliament, Gonzalez was elected by acclamation to take the chair of the Parlatino Board of Directors for the 2024-2026 term.
