Havana, Oct 28 (ACN) The United Nations agency for the Palestinians refugees (UNRWA) alerted on Monday of the lack of access to humanitarian aid in Gaza, where the people no longer have enough to eat.
There is a huge sentiment of frustration among the families displaced to northern Gaza due to the horrors they are facing, which they describe as a transition to death and suffering, said UNRWA spokesperson Louise Wateridge, cited by PL news agency.
The risk of famine is growing in Gaza amidst the Israeli military offensive, said the UN official.
A latest UN assessment of food insecurity in Gaza reveled that at least 1.8 million people are suffering from serious lack of food.
