HAVANA, Cuba, Sep 24 (ACN) Cuba’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla has fulfilled an intense work agenda during his presence in the 79th Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York, U.S.A.
In a post on X, Rodríguez Parrilla mentioned his meetings with different officials, including his Armenian counterpart Ararat Mirzoyan and Josep Borrell Fontelles, EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, whom he thanked for his work in favor of Cuba-EU relations.
Likewise, he met with Cho Tae Yul, Foreign Minister of the Republic of Korea, and Xavier Bettel, deputy prime minister and foreign minister of Luxembourg, as well as with Mohamed Sidati, Foreign Minister of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic, and Ahmed Moallin Fiqi, Foreign Minister of Somalia, to whom he expressed Cuba’s appreciation for the Somali government’s efforts to elucidate the status of the Cuban doctors Assel and Landy.
The Cuban official also met with the Foreign Minister of Oman, Badr Albusaidi, and Andrés Allamand, Ibero-American Secretary General.
In each of these meetings, Rodríguez Parrilla reasserted Cuba’s willingness to strengthen cooperation with the respective countries, in line with his speech to the meeting of the CELAC Troika with China, in which he described the 10th anniversary of the CELAC-China Forum as an opportunity to keep developing relations between the region and the People’s Republic on the basis of respect, equality, plurality and mutual benefit.
