Havana, Sept 23 (ACN) Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel congratulated on Monday Mexican politician Luisa Maria Alcalde after she was elected president of Mexico’s National Regeneration Movement Party (MORENA).
The Cuban head of state also congratulated the members of the new political staff, elected during the Special Session of the National Congress of the MORENA party.
Luis Maria Alcalde was working as government secretary under the administration of President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador, who will wind up his term of office on October 1st and will be succeeded by Claudia Sheinbaum. Alcalde (37) will take her new post also on October 1st.lc
