HAVANA, Cuba, May 19 (ACN) The José Martí Project of International Solidarity convenes the VI International Conference for World Balance "With all and for the good of all - Dialogue of civilizations and a Culture of Peace”, to be held in this city on January 28-31, 2025.
The announcement, attended by members of the diplomatic corps from 21 countries, is addressed to writers, historians, journalists, artists, politicians, economists, scientists and intellectuals in general, as well as to social and solidarity movements, trade union and religious leaders, NGOs, feminist and youth organizations, ecologists, and all people of good will who care about social justice, equitable development, dialogue, peace, feelings of solidarity, and the wish to build a better world.
This forum of pluralistic and multidisciplinary thinking is supported and co-sponsored by UNESCO, the Organization of Ibero-American States for Education, Science & Culture, the Cultura de Paz Foundation (Spain), Soka Gakkai International, the Latin American Council of Social Sciences (CLACSO) and other international, regional and national institutions.
The conference will take place at a time when humanity is moving towards new forms of organization of the world system through a transition in civilization which transcends the legacy of colonialism, hegemonism and unipolarity to make multilateralism and the sustainability of human development its basic aim.
These events began in 2003 in Cuba and have increasingly gathered renowned personalities from politics, academia and civil society.
