Havana, April 9 (ACN) Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel conveyed his condolences to relatives and friends of Hugo de los Reyes Chavez, father of Venezuela’s Commander Hugo Chavez, who passed away at 91 on Tuesday.

Hugo de los Reyes Chavez was born January 6, 1933 in Barinas, Venezuela, where he was governor in three office terms between 1998 and 2008. He was founder and member, along his son Hugo Chavez Frias, of the “V Republica” Movement.
