Havana, April 9 (ACN) A solidarity-with-Cuba initiative in the United States collected over 600 food donations over the weekend for the Cuban people, according to the island’s Foreign Minister.
The executive director of the New York-based The People’s Forum organization https://peoplesforum.org/ , Manolo de los Santos, told Granma newspaper that the action expresses the feelings of solidarity of the US people towards Cuba despite the hatred and evil expressed by successive US administrations.
Several US organizations are committed to send the aid to Cuba which consists of over 800 tons of flour.
The People’s Forum describes itself a movement incubator for working class and marginalized communities to build unity across historic lines of division at home and abroad. It is an accessible educational and cultural space that nurtures the next generation of visionaries and organizers who believe that through collective action a new world is possible.
