HAVANA, Cuba, Apr 3 (ACN) In a message posted on X, Cuban Minister of Foreign Affairs Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla condemned the support of the U.S. government to Israel’s genocidal war against the Palestinian people and denounced the double-standard U.S. Cuba policy that classifies Cuba as a state sponsor of terrorism and keeps in place an economic, commercial and financial blockade of the island.
Not only does the U.S. grant Israel 3.8 billion dollars’ worth of military assistance every year; on Tuesday, local media outlets reported the delivery to Israel of 1,800 two-thousand-pound Mark 84 and 500 five-hundred-pound MK82 bombs.
In March, the United States abstained from voting on a UN Security Council resolution calling for a cease-fire in Gaza.
Since the outbreak of the conflict on October 7, 2023, Washington has vetoed three resolutions and one amendment intended to demand the cessation of the Israeli attacks.
