Cuban Premier Pays Working Visit to Venezuela



Havana, March 21 (ACN) Cuban Prime Minister Manuel Marrero held talks Thursday with Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro as one of the first activities on his working agenda in that sister Latin American nation.

Marrero was welcomed at Miraflores Presidential Palace by the Venezuela President; the two leaders addressed bilateral cooperation between their countries, according to PL news agency.

As part of his agenda in Caracas, the Cuban Premier also met with Cuban workers in that South American nation. Marrero briefed the workers about the current situation facing their country and the implementation of governmental actions to relaunch the economy.

The Cuban head of government is scheduled to also meet with other local authorities and check bilateral cooperation accords.

Cuba and Venezuela share strategic cooperation relations in areas such as healthcare, sports, education, communication, science and energy.
