Cuban Deputy Premier Meets Russian Executives and Officials in Moscow



Havana, March 19 (ACN) As part of his working agenda in Moscow, Cuban Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Trade and Investment Ricardo Cabrisas met on Tuesday with government officials, parliamentarians, entrepreneurs and executives in the financial system.

Cabrisas held talks with Anton Zubijin, general vice-director of the STM Sales Co and director general of the Sinara Trade Co., two enterprises involved in projects underway in the Cuban railway sector.

Zubijin addressed new projects aimed at expanding the participation of his companies in Cuba, while Cabrisas acknowledged the work of the Russian enterprises and called for the expansion of joint working relations.

During a meeting with the vice-president of the VEB.RF Russian State Bank, Daniel Algulyan both sides addressed the role of the Russian bank in supporting local companies which get involved in investment projects in Cuba as part of bilateral accords to increase the participation of Russian enterprises in the Cuban National Economic and Social Development Plan till the year 2030.

Ricardo Cabrisas also met with the first vice-president of the Russian Duma, and first vice-president of the Russian Communist Party Ivan Melnikov, who reiterated his support of the Caribbean nation, Pl news agency reported from Moscow.

Cabrisas and Melnikov exchanged views on the large support obtained by President Vladimir Putin in the recent presidential elections and they acknowledged the support of Cuba by the Russian parliamentarians at the state Duma.
