HAVANA, Cuba, Mar 13 (ACN) Ricardo Cabrisas, deputy prime minister and head of foreign trade and foreign investment of Cuba, met today with the Turkish minister of finance and treasury, Mehmet Şimşek, on the second day of his working visit to Türkiye.
Both authorities signed an agreement to avoid double taxation and prevent tax evasion and fraud, reported the Cuban embassy to Ankara, on X where it stressed that the agreement will strengthen the economic relations of the two countries.
Cabrisas began a working visit to Türkiye on Tuesday, with the aim of deepening the historic ties between the two nations and people, reviewing the state of ties, examining the existing potentials for their development, and giving continuity to the political dialogue at the highest level between the two governments.
On that day, Turkish vice president Cevdet Yilmaz received the high-level Cuban official, in a meeting in which both parties ratified the willingness to work on deepening economic, trade, financial and cooperation relations, particularly in the areas of renewable energies, agriculture, livestock, construction, industry, health and tourism.
Cuban deputy prime minister also exchanged with Ömer Bolat, head of the Türkiye trade portfolio, to outline the roadmap for economic and trade cooperation between the two countries for 2024-2026.
