Havana, Feb 29 (ACN) Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel arrived in Saint Vicent and the Grenadines on Thursday to participate on Friday at the eight summit of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC).
Diaz-Canel was welcomed at the Argyle international airport by deputy premier Montgomery Daniel.
He Cuban head of state is scheduled to address the summit on Friday, according to PL news agency.
The summit will focus on pending problems on the region, including food security, health, climate change and the maintenance of peace.
CELAC is made up of 33 countries as a regional inter-government platform promoting unity and political and economic integration.
