Havana, Jan 25 (ACN) Cuban Vice-president Salvador Valdes Mesa arrived Thursday in Zimbabwe on official visit as part of an African tour that has already included Uganda and Tanzania.
Valdes Mesa appreciated the warm welcome and stressed the relations of friendship between Cuba and Zimbabwe where he already visited in November 2023. “Here, we always feel at home,” he said.
“You are far from your home, but you are at home here, said Kembo D.C. Mahandi, Zimbabwean Vice-president while welcoming the Cuban delegation, according to the Cuban Presidency on X.
Valdes Mesa said that he will meet a tight agenda in the African nation aimed at deepening bilateral economic links
The Cuban Vice-president kicked off his African tour on January 18 in Uganda where he took part at the 19th Summit of the Non-Aligned Movement’s Heads of State and Government and at the 3rd Summit of the South.
