Havana, Jan 23 (ACN) Palestine’s Foreign Minister Riyad Al Maliki called at the United Nations for a world peace conference on Gaza to defend international law and implement the UN resolutions related to the Gaza crisis through joint actions by all states and organizations.

A PL news agency report reads that during a meeting of the UN Security Council on the expansion of the Gaza crisis, Al Maliki also urged to recognize and admit the Palestinian state at the United Nations.

The ongoing war is a premeditated effort to inflict pain on the Palestinian people by combining three factors, said Al Maliki who referred to the most aggressive and indiscriminate bombings by Israel after WWII; the massive destruction and cruel harassment which deprive the people from the basic resources to survive, and the forced displacement in such an unprecedented speed and scale, never witnessed modern history.

No UN shelter, no home, hospital, school, mosque or church escapes from the Israeli shelling—two-ton bombs launched disregarding their impact on civilians,” the Foreign Minister alerted and recalled that over 25 thousand people have been killed under Israeli attacks, including over 11 thousand children; additionally, thousands have been mutilated, more than 63 thousand wounded and 7 thousand buried under the debris.

The world is demanding a ceasefire, and we are running out of time, said the Palestinian official as he recalled the international consensus on the setting up of two states.
