HAVANA, Cuba, Jan 17 (ACN) Wilfredo González Vidal, first deputy minister of the Cuban Ministry of Communications (MINCOM), is paying a visit to India at the head of a business delegation.
Gonzalez Vidal met with Rajeev Chandrasekhar, Minister of State in the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship and Electronics and Information Technology of India, with whom he discussed ways of increasing bilateral cooperation in this field based on the digital transformation processes under way in both countries, as well as ICT development in Cuba and training and capacity building opportunities.
The Cuban official also invited India to attend the 19th International Convention and Fair Informática 2024, to be held on March 18 to 22 in Havana, and visited the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), where he talked about possible stronger links between the IIT and Cuban universities and between the Havana Technology Park and the Foundation for Innovation and Technology Transfer of India.
On his second day in the Asian country, González Vidal met with executives of the companies C-Dot, a Telematics Development Center, and NIIT Limited, a multinational corporation devoted to the development of skills and talents, both in the state of Haryana.
