Havana, Dec 13 (ACN) Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez called on X to respect the will of the Guatemalan people expressed in the country’s presidential elections.

Last August, sociologist Cesar Bernardo Arevalo de Leon was elected new president of Guatemala; he will take office on January 14.
But the Attorney general’s Office and the country’s parliament have attempted to delegitimize the victory of the Semilla Movement candidate.
Voices from Mexico, Costa Rica, Canada, the USA and other countries have urged to respect the result of the vote and to preserve stability in the country.
