Havana, Dec 6 (ACN) Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez regretted the loss of human lives caused by the eruption of the Marapi Volcano in Sumatra, Indonesia.
On his X account, the Cuban government official extended condolences on behalf of his nation to the Indonesian people and government and to the relatives of the victims, whose number had increased by 13 on Wednesday, according to reports.
Indonesia’s Volcanology and Geologic Disaster Mitigation Center reported that the Marapi Volcano, on the western section of Sumatra, witnessed a strong eruption for some five minutes and launched a 3-meter-high column of ash and smoke.
