HAVANA, Cuba, Nov 12 (ACN) Cuban Prime Minister Manuel Marrero Cruz highlighted his country's interest in boosting cooperation with Belarus in the field of health care and biotechnology.
During a meeting Saturday with the Cuban official, Vladimir Gusakov, president of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, proposed to establish a joint pharmaceutical company between the state company Academpharm and Cuba’s BioCubaFarma business group, both of which also signed a memorandum of cooperation together with the republican unitary enterprise Center of Knowledge and Tests in Health.
The Cuban delegation in Belarus also visited a workshop engaged in the production of drugs, the Belarusian State Museum of the History of the Great Patriotic War, the Dzerzhinski agro-food compound, and the MTZ tractor factory.
